The LENS Foundation announced that Brittany Butler, a former CIA targeting officer turned bestselling novelist, will serve as the featured speaker at the upcoming LENS Leadership Series event on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the IOP Exchange Club on the Isle of Palms.
Admission is free, and attendees are invited to enjoy a glass of wine, conversation and an evening with one of the series’ most engaging speakers.
Drawing on a career that included recruiting assets and dismantling terrorist networks overseas, Butler brings a rare perspective to conversations about leadership, loyalty and the human cost of secrecy. She is the author of the espionage novel The Syndicate Spy and the newly released The Patriot’s Daughter, both of which use the intelligence world as a backdrop to explore themes of courage and moral complexity.
