This month's Creative Mornings Charleston event will take place on Friday, Feb. 21 at Circular Congregational Church (150 Meeting Street). The event begins at 8 am and this month's theme is “Layers” with guest speaker Shaniequa Washington, content creator, wearable art and earring designer, mental wellness advocate and cultural awareness speaker.
The event will feature a live musical performance from Liz Kelley, a local vocalist, guitarist, producer and music technologist. Arun Drummond, a self-taught multidisciplinary artist, will also be present, showing off his mixed media work that honors Gullah culture by incorporating sweetgrass baskets in paintings.
Breakfast bites will be provided by Daddy's Girls Bakery, and Counter Culture will provide coffee. Guests are encouraged to bring their own mugs.
Free registration will go live here on Feb. 17 at 10 a.m.
