The sixth annual Drifter Fest will return to Charleston on Sept. 11-12 for a weekend of live music, community and celebration honoring the memory of Bert Griggs.
The festival’s main event will take place Saturday, Sept. 12, at The Refinery, featuring performances by nationally touring local artists The Psycodelics and Dangermuffin, along with Just Groove. General admission tickets are $30 in advance and $40 the day of the show. VIP tickets are $60 in advance and $70 the day of the show.
Drifter Fest weekend kicks off with a free show Friday, Sept. 11, at Home Team BBQ featuring live music from The Backwater Brothers.
Continuing the festival’s mission of supporting community causes through music and connection, this year’s nonprofit benefactor is Rock ’n Roll Rescue, a Lowcountry organization dedicated to providing children with access to music education by supplying instruments and resources that foster creativity.
