Join local farmer florist Alicia Silva Flores, owner of Jardín Bonita, and Redux studio artist, Daisy McClellan on Wednesday, February 7th from 6 pm to 8 pm for a magical night of dried floral arranging and candle making.
For the first half of class, McClellan will teach participants how to make soy candles from beginning to end using vintage glasses, ceramic jars, and teacups from her thrifting adventures, resulting in environmentally-conscious and uniquely stylish candles. You’ll combine various floral and plant fragrance oils to create your dream candle as well as select a crystal to put inside to infuse it with the best vibes.
While the candles dry, create an eye-catching arrangement with Flores that captures the beauty of nature in a long-lasting, heartfelt design. Using dried florals sourced from her garden and local flower farms, craft an expressive arrangement that tells a story. You’ll focus on the elements of floral design that will allow the dried florals to shine through - perfect for displaying on a mantle, tabletop, or bookshelf to instantly uplift your surroundings.
At the end of the 2-hour workshop, participants will leave with a beautiful floral arrangement and custom-scented soy candle candle. All materials included as well as warm tea and an inviting community.
