Dog Day Afternoons at Charleston County waterparks return to give your pups a chance to enjoy the waterparks in a safe, dog-friendly environment. After the waterparks close to humans for the season, they will reopen for dogs to enjoy. Each waterpark will host the event on a different date, with two sessions each day that patrons can register to attend.
The first session will be 10 a.m.-12 p.m. and the second session will be 1-3 p.m. Dates for each event will be:
- Aug. 9 at Splash Island Waterpark in Mount Pleasant
- Aug. 16 at Splash Zone Waterpark on James Island
- Sept. 7 at Whirlin’ Waters Adventure Waterpark in North Charleston
Dogs are allowed to be off their leashes once they enter the waterparks, but owners are still responsible for watching and taking care of them during their time at Dog Day Afternoon.
