Commonhouse Aleworks will host a special Pride edition of BBQ & Bluegrass featuring Clover-Lynn on Friday, June 5, from 6 to 9 p.m. as part of this year’s Park Circle Pride celebration.
Guests can enjoy an evening of live music, community, craft beer and barbecue while experiencing a distinctive voice reshaping traditional Appalachian sounds.
A queer and trans artist based in North Carolina, Clover-Lynn brings a style often described as gothic mountain bluegrass with a queer Appalachian twist. Drawing from deep family roots in Southwest Virginia and Appalachian musical traditions, her sound blends three-finger banjo, clawhammer techniques and ballad singing into something both familiar and unexpected.
Beyond her musicianship, Clover-Lynn’s work has become recognized for broadening the stories told through traditional music.
The special Pride edition of BBQ & Bluegrass is part of the weeklong Park Circle Pride celebration and offers an opportunity to bring together music, community and storytelling in a space that reflects the spirit of Pride.
