Steve Martin and Martin Short on Tuesday announced winter 2026 dates for “The Best of Steve Martin and Martin Short” tour. The new tour includes a stop at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Friday, Dec. 4. The duo will be joined by the Grammy Award-winning bluegrass band The Steep Canyon Rangers and renowned jazz pianist Jeff Babko.
Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 26. Pre-sales begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 25. More information and tickets are available at stevemartin.com/tour.
The live show blends stand-up, conversation and musical elements. Martin and Short’s humor often includes self-deprecating banter, observations about Hollywood and celebrity culture, and rapid-fire exchanges as the longtime collaborators poke fun at each other.
Martin and Short have toured together since 2015, when they launched their first live show, “A Very Stupid Conversation.”
Steve Martin is one of the most acclaimed and beloved talents in entertainment. His work has earned numerous honors including an Academy Award, several Grammy Awards, an Emmy Award, and the Kennedy Center Honor. Many of Martin's films are considered modern classics including: The Jerk, Planes, Trains & Automobiles, Roxanne, Parenthood, L.A. Story, and Father of the Bride. He is also an accomplished Grammy Award-winning bluegrass banjoist and composer. In 2017, Martin released his most recent full-length album, The Long-Awaited Album, a collaboration with the Steep Canyon Rangers.
Martin Short is a beloved comedian and actor, whose career spans television, film, and theater. Since his breakout performances on NBC's Saturday Night Live, Short has become a household name with roles in feature films including Three Amigos, and the Father of the Bride series. He has also delighted audiences in Broadway performances including his 2006 revue Martin Short:Fame Becomes Me and the 1998 revival of Neil Simon's Little Me. Short has earned two Emmy awards for his writing in SCTV Network 90, as well as his involvement in the 2014 “AFI Life Achievement Award: A Tribute to Mel Brooks.” He is also recognized for his performances in several television series, including Damages, Primetime Glick, and Merlin.
In 2021, the duo co-created and starred in the Hulu comedy series Only Murders in the Building, which has earned them Primetime Emmy, Screen Actors Guild, Golden Globe, and Peabody award nominations. In 2022, Martin and Short co-hosted Saturday Night Live together.
