Theatre 99 is pleased to welcome Lauren Hope Krass back to her home stage on Thursday, Jan. 29 at 8 p.m. For those familiar with local comedy lore, you may remember Lauren from placing twice in the Charleston Comedy Festival’s Stand Up Competition in the early 2010’s, being a company member at Theatre 99 and performing in her one woman musical “Princess Charming.”
Since moving to NYC in 2014, Lauren has become one of New York’s hottest comics on the scene and she’s now a national headliner with a growing following online of over 300,000. Joining Lauren is comedian and viral internet sensation Jessie Jolles who is known by many as “Your Eccentric Friend”. Trained at UCB and now one of New York’s top comedy and fashion influencers, Jessie brings so much joy and unforgettable fashion statements.
Together, Krass and Jolles promise to bring an unforgettable night of fashion inspired stand up comedy, storytelling, crowd interaction and improv in their newest live show, “Girl’s Girl Comedy Hour.” What constitutes a girl’s girl you may ask? In a recent post on Instagram, the comedy duo cleared the air posting this definition; “Regardless of sex or gender, a girl’s girl is a cheerleader to their friends, someone who expresses their style freely with joy.
