Comedian Jo Koy has announced new dates for the spring leg of his Jo Koy: Just Being Koy Tour, including a stop at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center on Friday, April 10.
Tickets go on sale Friday, Jan. 16, at 9 a.m. through Ticketmaster.com.
One of today’s top stand-up comedians, Koy has risen from performing in a Las Vegas coffee house to selling out arenas around the world. His comedy, inspired by his family and personal experiences, has resonated with audiences of all backgrounds.
Koy consistently ranks among the top 10 highest-grossing stand-up comedians worldwide, according to Pollstar and Billboard. He has sold out major venues including Madison Square Garden in New York, the O2 Arena in London, the Forum in Los Angeles, Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai, ICC Theatre in Sydney and Mall of Asia Arena in Manila.
Koy starred in the 2022 Universal Pictures comedy Easter Sunday, produced by Amblin Partners, which featured an all-Filipino cast and drew from his life experiences. He has also appeared in Disney’s Haunted Mansion and voiced characters in Netflix’s Monkey King and Leo, as well as Paramount+’s The Tiger’s Apprentice. His television credits include Netflix’s Mr. Iglesias and Comedy Central’s Awkwafina Is Nora From Queens.
In 2023, Koy signed a two-special deal with Netflix. His most recent stand-up special, Jo Koy: Live From Brooklyn, premiered in June 2024 and reached Netflix’s Top 10 within its first week. He has released multiple stand-up specials across Comedy Central and Netflix, including Live From Seattle, Comin’ In Hot and Live From the Los Angeles Forum.
Koy is also an advocate for Filipino representation in entertainment. He served as an executive producer on the documentary Nurse Unseen and as a producer on the Broadway musical Here Lies Love, which featured an all-Filipino cast and received four Tony Award nominations.
