CofC Stages in the College of Charleston’s Department of Theatre and Dance will continue its 2025–26 Pulse & Passion season with the beloved musical You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, running Nov. 6–13 at the Simons Center Black Box Theatre (54 Saint Philip St.).
Based on Charles M. Schulz’s iconic Peanuts comic strip, the heartfelt and humorous production brings Charlie Brown, Snoopy, and the gang to life in a celebration of friendship, growing up, and life’s small moments. The show is directed and music directed by faculty member Laura Turner.
“This cast and crew will blow your socks off,” Turner said. “You’ll feel like you’ve been transported into the pages of Peanuts. The action is fast-paced and funny, and the songs are catchy. No matter your age, you’ll leave the theatre with joy and a song in your heart.”
With book, music, and lyrics by Clark Gesner, additional dialogue by Michael Mayer, and additional music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown follows the Peanuts gang as they play baseball, tackle homework, chase crushes, and celebrate the ups and downs of friendship.
The production features College of Charleston theatre students Emma Feeney, Peyton Grant, Benji Gray-Miller, Jack Hipp, Carsyn Ridgeway, Laura Rae Robinson, Dillon Rosario, Ellie Schrupp, Ethan Taylor, and Noah Whisonant.
The production team includes Joyce Burton (costume designer), Drake Carney (assistant music director), Hannah Moore (lighting designer), Paeton Patterson (assistant director), Sarah Poteat (scenic designer), Ellie Schrupp (choreographer), and Katherine Vidonic (stage manager).
