The CHS AAPI Collective will host its second annual AAPI Heritage Month Market on Sunday, May 31, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Storehouse 9 in the Navy Yard, 2154 Noisette Blvd., North Charleston.
The free, family-friendly event will celebrate Asian culture, cuisine and creativity, featuring more than 30 local vendors, live performances, art and food. Organizers say it will be the largest AAPI market held by the group to date.
Participating food vendors include Kultura, XO Brasserie, Bok Choy Boy, Butter Half Bakery, Pink Bellies and Jackrabbit Filly. Retail vendors include Charmland, Tro Vé Collective and Fyne Ceramics, with beverages available from Cocktail Bandits, Kona Ice and Lowcountry Lemonade.
Entertainment will include performances by the India Association of Greater Charleston and a tai chi demonstration by Master Studios.
Organizers invite the public to attend the one-day event as a way to close out AAPI Heritage Month. Admission is free and open to all.
