Charleston’s local radio station, 96.3 FM Ohm Radio, in partnership with the Charleston Symphony Orchestra and The Bend Charleston, will host its annual free outdoor concert, Brass on the Grass, on Saturday, Nov. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m. at The Bend.
Registration is recommended but not required. To register for the free community concert, visit Ohm Radio’s website.
The event will feature live music from the Charleston Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet. Attendees will also have the chance to win free tickets to the symphony, spend a day as a DJ at Ohm Radio, and more.
Proceeds from the event support Charleston’s first commercial-free, listener-supported, community-focused radio station, Ohm Radio 96.3 FM. Donations are tax-deductible and help fund locally produced news and music. The low-power FM station broadcasts live from the Refinery at 1640 Meeting St., Suite 100, and is operated by Media Reform SC, a Charleston-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
