Charleston Stage invites audiences to experience one of literature's most cherished stories when Little Women: The Broadway Musical takes the stage at the Historic Dock Street Theatre July 14 through July 26.
Based on Louisa May Alcott's timeless novel, Little Women: The Broadway Musical celebrates the enduring power of family, love, ambition, and resilience through soaring music and unforgettable storytelling. Set during and after the Civil War, the musical follows the four March sisters—independent Jo, romantic Meg, gentle Beth, and spirited Amy—as they navigate the joys and hardships of growing up while discovering their own paths in life.
At the heart of the story is Jo March, an aspiring writer determined to forge her own future while holding tightly to the bonds of family that have shaped her. Filled with laughter, heartache, hope, and inspiration, Little Women continues to resonate with audiences of all generations through its timeless themes of courage, compassion, and following one's dreams.
Featuring a sweeping Broadway score by Jason Howland and Mindi Dickstein, the musical beautifully captures the warmth and emotional depth that has made Little Women a beloved classic for more than 150 years.
