Join Charleston Stage for a special benefit evening that brings the community together through performance, conversation, and celebration. Charleston Stage's World Theatre Day Celebration & Preview Performance Party will feature highlights from the upcoming season, performances by student artists, and an exciting first look at the stories that will shape Season 49—culminating in a celebratory toast to World Theatre Day and the powerful role live theatre plays in our lives and in our city.
Hosted at the historic Dock Street Theatre in downtown Charleston, the benefit will include exclusive performances, behind-the-scenes insights, and a preview of the artists and productions coming to the stage next season. As the resident professional theatre company at Dock Street Theatre since 1978, Charleston Stage presents more than 120 performances annually and reaches tens of thousands of audience members and students across the Lowcountry.
The evening will feature a lively cabaret-style performance by Charleston Stage artists, offering audiences a unique opportunity to enjoy musical highlights, theatrical moments, and special appearances that celebrate the creativity and community at the heart of Charleston Stage.
Guests who purchase VIP benefit tickets will also enjoy access to an exclusive pre-show reception, where they can mingle with Charleston Stage artists, staff, and fellow supporters before the performance begins. The evening promises to be a festive gathering of theatre lovers who share a passion for keeping the performing arts vibrant in the Lowcountry.
Proceeds from the benefit will support Charleston Stage’s productions, education programs, and community outreach initiatives, which serve thousands of students and community members each year through performances, classes, and arts education experiences. Events like this annual celebration help Charleston Stage continue expanding access to theatre while nurturing the next generation of artists and audiences.
