The Scottish Society of Charleston announced the return of the Charleston Scottish Games and Highland Gathering on November 2, 2024, at the Riverfront Park in North Charleston. As the second oldest event of its kind in the Southeastern United States, the Charleston Scottish Games has entertained thousands of spectators since its inception in 1971 and will be celebrating its 53rd year with this event.
Revisit the rich Scottish history with a lineup of entertaining events. They will be hosting professional and amateur heavy athletic competitions, pipe band competitions, highland dancing competitions, Scottish country dancing, Border Collie demonstrations, and more.
Albannach will provide the musical entertainment while guests can enjoy traditional Scottish food, as well as scheduled Scotch whiskey tastings.
The Children’s Games will again include the Craft Hall, Face Painting, Storytelling, and more.
The event kicks off with Calling of the Clans on Friday evening at Riverfront Park with Live Music, Food Trucks, a Scotch Tasting, and more.
