The Charleston Multicultural Festival will bring global music, food and art to the Park Circle Community Pavilion on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m.
The Charleston Multicultural Festival will be a vibrant celebration of the many cultures that make Charleston unique. Highlights include performances from African drum and dance group Wona Womalan, Lowcountry Pasifiki Dancers, Charleston County School of the Arts Vocals, Folklore Herencia Mexicana and more.
Vendors will include local businesses such as KPop Co-op, Deya Showroom, Play Salty and Gullah Dolls.
Attendees can also try food from around the world, including Filipino chicken inasal from Lola’s Lumpia, Dominican-inspired coffee and mocktails from Sinful Decadence, Gullah Geechee cuisine from Wings-N-Things and traditional Hawaiian food from Shaka Shrimp.
“Our goal is to lift up the many amazing communities that make Charleston a beautiful place to live,” said Pam Roe, organizer of the Charleston Multicultural Festival. “Recent years have brought a lot of new people to Charleston, and we want to show how strong our community can be when we embrace our differences and learn more about one another.”
