Charleston County Parks will host its annual Inclusive Holiday Hoedown on Wednesday, Dec. 3, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Park Circle Community Building in North Charleston.
The event invites people with disabilities, along with their families and friends, to celebrate the holiday season with a country-style twist. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite Western attire and join Santa and Mrs. Claus for an evening of music, dancing and festive fun.
A DJ will keep the party going, and refreshments such as pizza, snacks and drinks will be served.
Tickets are $4 in advance or $5 at the door. Chaperones must register but may attend free with a participant’s registration. Advance purchase is recommended and can be made by calling 843-795-4386. Those needing financial assistance can email admin@charlestoncountyparks.org.
The Park Circle Community Building, located at 4800 Park Circle, is owned by the City of North Charleston.
The Charleston County Park and Recreation Commission (CCPRC) promotes inclusion through its Inclusive Recreation programs, which also include Inclusive Swim Nights, the Inclusive Superhero Dance, and the Inclusive Prom. The agency will also host inclusive visits with Santa at James Island County Park this holiday season.
