Charleston-based author, screenwriter, and performer Rob Liotti has officially released his new single “Before I Go” to all major digital streaming platforms and radio providers nationwide. The track marks Liotti’s first entry into Americana and cinematic‑country music space, blending emotional storytelling with an outlaw aesthetic.
“Before I Go” is a reflective, atmospheric piece inspired by Liotti’s rescue dog, Giada, whose story shaped another creative project - his children’s book Giada’s Lucky Day - A Heartwarming Rescue Tale of Loyalty and Love. The song pairs Liotti’s narrative-driven writing with a haunting, country‑Americana sound that resonates with audiences across TikTok, YouTube, streaming platforms, and radio.
Liotti, a Charleston resident, has built a multi‑disciplinary career spanning music, acting, screenwriting, and publishing. He is the author of Zero Turn, a psychological thriller novel (along with two other non-fiction selections) and is currently the creator and star of the vertical-format digital series Family Values: The Rise of Anthony Morelli, where he portrays mob boss/ politician, Anthony Morelli. The series has gained traction online for its gritty tone, cinematic style, and Charleston-based production footprint.
“Anyone familiar with my musical performances or songwriting knows that rock and roll is in my blood, but what started as a moving inspirational poem soon became a pet loss anthem. For the last seven years, I have been dedicated to sharing encouragement with folks who have experienced loss. And like many songs, something emotional typically drives their creation. This one just happened to be well-outside my normal wheelhouse - but it certainly shines,” Liotti said.
