What draws people to the library? Everything! From books and digital resources to job assistance and creative programming, libraries are essential to thriving communities.
National Library Week, April 6–12, 2025, is a time to celebrate the many ways libraries bring people together, spark imagination, and support lifelong learning.
At Charleston County Public Library (CCPL), we invite the community to join the celebration! Whether you're a longtime patron or haven’t visited in a while, now is the perfect time to explore all the library has to offer. Our system includes 18 branches across Charleston County, featuring free Wi-Fi, digital collections, computer access, career workshops, creative studios, tech help, programs for all ages and much more.
CCPL has seen impressive growth in library users over the past year, including 1.3 million branch visits, 3.3 million books borrowed, and 42,000 people reached through community outreach events.
Your local library is here for you. CCPL can help you prepare for a career change, launch a business, start a podcast, plan for retirement, and so much more.
