The Art of Ezra Tucker is now on view at Brookgreen Gardens, bringing a nationally recognized exhibition to the Lowcountry.
Curated by David J. Wagner, the show features work by Ezra Tucker, an artist known for detailed wildlife paintings and portraits that highlight the stories of Black pioneers in the American West. His work offers a perspective that is often missing from traditional Western art and creates a strong connection between nature, history, and culture.
The exhibition includes pieces such as “Silverback,” “Lieutenant Flipper,” and “As the Crow Fly,” showcasing Tucker’s range and focus on both wildlife and historical subjects.
As part of the exhibition, Tucker will appear at Brookgreen Gardens for a gallery talk and informal drop-in on April 18 from 1 to 3 p.m., giving visitors a chance to hear directly about his work and creative process.
This exhibition is part of a traveling tour produced by David J. Wagner, L.L.C., and offers a unique opportunity for local audiences to experience it close to home.
