ArtFields Jr. Traveling Exhibition, Now – March 1
Displaying the creativity and talent of young artists, this inspiring exhibition highlights the imaginative works of students from the Pee Dee region, celebrating their unique perspectives and artistic exploration. From vibrant paintings to innovative mixed media pieces, the show offers a glimpse into the boundless creativity of the next generation of artists.
Read Across America Day, March 1, 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Celebrate Read Across America Day at Brookgreen Gardens with crafts, STEAM challenges and games that inspire creativity. Attendees can enjoy activities with community partners like the DAR, Waccamaw Audubon and Grand Strand Shell Club. Dressing as a favorite book character is encouraged.

Against the Grain: Fingerprints from the Forest, Now – March 2
This unique collection of works by artist Stephen King showcases his masterful relief printmaking process using fallen trees and salvaged wood. His work highlights the intricate beauty and resilience of trees, transforming overlooked materials into striking art that preserves their natural patterns and history on paper.
Garden Symposium, March 14, 15, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Visitors are invited to immerse themselves in the beauty and creativity of gardens at the 2025 Garden Symposium: Art in the Gardens. This inspiring event features keynote speaker Jay Sifford, an award-winning landscape designer, who will explore contemporary garden design. Attendees will enjoy expert-led presentations, immersive garden tours and hands-on experiences, all set in the beautiful surroundings of Brookgreen Gardens.

Anna Hyatt Huntington Woman of Vision Award Luncheon, March 27, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
Coinciding with Women’s History Month, this special event honors the impact of Brookgreen co-founder Anna Hyatt Huntington and recognizes the accomplishments of individuals shaping the future of the arts. The event will feature a keynote address by Thayer Tolles, Curator of American Paintings and Sculpture at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the presentation of the prestigious Woman of Vision Award to Robin R. Salmon, Brookgreen’s nationally recognized curator and art historian who has dedicated 50 years of her career to the organization. Proceeds will benefit the Next Generation Scholarship, empowering future artists.

Celebrating Talent - Brookgreen Volunteer Art Exhibit, March 5 – March 28
Brookgreen Gardens presents Celebrating Talent: Brookgreen Volunteer Art Exhibit, showcasing 37 works across various mediums, including paintings, sculpture, textile art, woodworking, glass, pottery, nature art and photography. The exhibit highlights the creativity and craftsmanship of Brookgreen’s dedicated volunteers, with many pieces inspired by the Gardens and the Lowcountry. Participating artists will be available daily to discuss their work, and a special Meet the Artists Day will be held on March 22 from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
The Genius of Archer Milton Huntington, Now – April 20
This special exhibition delves into the visionary life and legacy of Archer Milton Huntington, one of the founders of Brookgreen Gardens. Renowned for his extraordinary contributions to the arts, humanities and philanthropy, this exhibit features rarely exhibited objects and images from The Hispanic Society of America in New York City, The Mariners Museum in Newport News, Va., the Chair of Poetry at the Library of Congress in Washington, D.C. and the American Numismatic Society in New York City, in addition to Brookgreen Gardens. Archer Huntington owned, selected or acquired the objects on view.
