Veteran actor Bo Keister has been cast in the lead role of Ty Duncan in the upcoming Charleston-based feature film The Last Sunrise. The film, written by Blu de Golyer and directed by Charleston filmmaker Shaughn Tillman, is set to be filmed in the Lowcountry.
Keister will portray Ty Duncan, a Charleston husband, father and artist whose life is forever altered by sudden tragedy. The emotionally demanding role traces Duncan’s journey through love, devastating loss and the search for redemption.
“Bo brings honesty to every role he steps into. Ty Duncan is a man trying to hold onto hope when everything around him collapses. That kind of emotional truth can’t be manufactured — and Bo delivers it,” said Shaughn Tillman, the film’s director.
Keister is widely recognized for his appearance in Remember the Titans and for a career spanning film, television and independent productions.
