Holy City Heroes will bring the Bets for the Brave Gala back to Charleston on Saturday, Feb. 27, 2027, at 6 p.m. at The Grand, 81 Mary St. in downtown Charleston.
The second annual Bets for the Brave Gala will bring the Lowcountry community together for an upscale casino-style evening designed to celebrate service, recognize those who support the nation's heroes and give back to organizations making a direct impact in the lives of military members, veterans and first responders.
Hosted by Holy City Heroes, a Charleston-area nonprofit organization created to support and honor those who serve, Bets for the Brave combines an evening of entertainment and community with a larger mission of service.
Guests can expect the excitement that defines the Bets for the Brave experience, including casino-style gaming, opportunities to win prizes and an evening centered on honoring the men and women who serve their communities and country.
Among the event's early featured promotions is a raffle for a new 2027 ICON i40FX golf cart, with the winner able to select from available colors. Additional prizes, entertainment and event details will be announced as the gala approaches.
A central part of the evening will once again be recognizing organizations whose work directly supports military members, veterans and first responders. As part of the 2027 program, the Homes for Heroes Foundation will present cash donations to two organizations serving the hero community. The recipient organizations will be announced at a later date.
Homes for Heroes Foundation provides grants to nonprofit organizations across the country that assist heroes facing challenges including housing instability, health and family needs, and disaster recovery.
Bets for the Brave builds on the success of its inaugural gala, which brought together more than 250 attendees and dozens of community sponsors for an evening of casino gaming, entertainment, prizes and charitable giving.
Organizers are planning an even larger event for 2027, with a goal of bringing approximately 350 guests together to celebrate service, strengthen community partnerships and increase the impact of organizations serving local heroes.
