This February, Charleston will host an unforgettable evening of excitement, elegance, and impact as Bets for the Brave, a high-stakes casino-style gala benefiting local veteran nonprofits, comes to town. Hosted by Chase Mason, Matthew Cuchelo, & Ryan Jones to support the critical work of the Homes for Heroes Foundation, the event will in turn raise funds for two mission-driven organizations serving veterans and first responders in the Lowcountry.
Proceeds from the evening will support Lowcountry Veterans Home, which provides transitional housing and supportive services for veterans experiencing homelessness, and LENS, an organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to first responders with medical and hardship needs. These grants will be presented from the Homes for Heroes Foundation the evening of the gala.
Attendees of Bets for the Brave will enjoy a professionally run casino night featuring blackjack, roulette, and other classic games, all included with the price of admission. With more than $25,000 in cash and prizes available, guests will be eligible to win simply by attending. There will be no silent auction and no additional buy-ins required.
Prizes available throughout the night include thousands of dollars in cash door prizes, a luxury rental of a McLaren sports car, golf and spa packages, Airbnb getaway experiences, Charleston RiverDogs Segra Club tickets, Charleston Stingrays hockey tickets, charter boat rentals, and more. In addition to the casino game raffles, every guest will be automatically entered to win a Las Vegas trip for two.
Bets for the Brave is honored to welcome General James Livingston, Medal of Honor recipient and retired United States Marine Corps general, as the evening’s guest of honor, underscoring the event’s commitment to honoring service and sacrifice.
The gala will be held at The Grand, a brand-new, upscale venue in Charleston that sets the perfect stage for an evening of celebration. Guests will also enjoy catered cuisine, an open bar, and live music performed by a jazz ensemble, creating an atmosphere that is both lively and sophisticated.
“Bets for the Brave is about more than a great night out,” said the event organizers. “It is about bringing the community together in a fun, meaningful way to directly support veterans and first responders who have given so much in service to others.”
Tickets have been and are expected to sell quickly, and community members are encouraged to secure their spot early. More information, including ticket details and event updates, can be found at www.betsforthebrave.com.
