Looking for a fun, relaxed way to spend a fall evening? Point Hope Church is inviting the community to Back Porch Praise, a free outdoor worship series featuring local Christian bands and artists.
Held on the church’s back lawn at 3404 Turgot Lane in the Park West neighborhood, Back Porch Praise is designed to feel like gathering with friends in someone’s backyard. Bring a lawn chair or beach chair, enjoy live music and spend an evening worshipping under the open sky. Refreshments will be available for purchase. Alcohol is not permitted on the property.
Each event will also support the community through a canned food drive benefiting East Cooper Community Outreach, so guests are encouraged to bring a few canned goods to donate.
The fall lineup includes:
- Wednesday, Sept. 16
- Wednesday, Oct. 21
- Wednesday, Nov. 18
Events will take place from 6:30 to 8 p.m. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, the gathering will move indoors. Follow Point Hope Church on social media or through church communications for weather updates.
“We wanted to create something that brings people together,” said Pastor Derek Street. “Whether you already have a church home or you’re simply looking for a fun night with your family, everyone is invited.”
Overflow parking is available at the Park West Recreation Center, with a short walking path around the pond leading directly to the church.
Point Hope Church offers a blended worship service every Sunday at 9:30 a.m. For more information, call 843-971-6377 or visit pointhopechurch.org/backporchpraise.
