Award-winning Christian children's artist Irene Rose is encouraging children to stop trying to fit in and start embracing who they were created to be with her uplifting new single, "Only One You."
At a time when many children feel pressure to compare themselves to others or blend into the crowd, "Only One You" reminds young listeners that their uniqueness is their greatest strength. Through joyful melodies and empowering lyrics, the song encourages children to dream boldly, learn from mistakes and confidently march to the beat of their own drum because no one else can offer the gifts they were created to share.
"There's only one you in history, who can do what you do and be all you can be. So don't waste your time trying to fit in. Let your light shine, let love win. Do what you were born to do because there's only one you."
The message reflects a platform Rose has championed throughout her career, including on the TEDx stage, where she challenged audiences to embrace authenticity instead of chasing approval.
"Every child has unique gifts that the world needs," Rose said. "When we spend our lives trying to be like everyone else, the world misses out on the one person we were designed to be. I hope that 'Only One You' gives children the confidence to be their true selves, take healthy risks and discover the incredible purpose woven into who they already are."
One of the song's most memorable lines encourages children to "be a technicolor polka dot and go have fun," celebrating creativity, courage and joyful individuality.
Rose said her message is simple but powerful:
"You are not 'too much.' You were created with unique gifts that the world needs, and the people who truly love you will celebrate the real you."
Rose won the 2025 Josie Music Award for Children's Song of the Year at the Grand Ole Opry and was named the 2026 Shining Star Musician Award recipient by Charleston Women Magazine. A voting member of the Recording Academy, she has dedicated her career to creating music that helps children build confidence, character, kindness and faith.
She is currently nominated for the sixth time at the Josie Music Awards for Best Children's Project for her affirmations song, "Who I Am."
With "Only One You," Rose continues her mission of helping children discover a life-changing truth: The world doesn't need another copy of someone else. It needs the one and only you.
"Only One You" will be available on all streaming platforms beginning Sept. 4, 2026.
