The City of North Charleston Cultural Arts Department is seeking artists in music, theater, dance, visual art, media art, and literature to participate in the 2026 North Charleston Arts Fest, April 29–May 3 at venues across the city.
Regional and local artists, as well as community organizations, are invited to submit proposals to perform or present through exhibitions, lectures, demonstrations, workshops, and more. Applications are free and available online at www.NorthCharlestonArtsFest.com/apply. The application deadline is midnight Monday, Dec. 15, 2025. Artists needing assistance with the application can schedule a one-on-one session by phone, virtually, or in person. A review panel will select participants from all disciplines to create a lineup of free events suitable for a range of venues and audiences. New program concepts are encouraged.
Now in its 43rd year, the North Charleston Arts Fest is a five-day celebration featuring concerts, theater and dance performances, exhibitions, installations, children’s programs, workshops, demonstrations, and more. All events are free, with a focus on inclusive programming that engages and inspires people of all ages and backgrounds.
