The highly anticipated Art of Jazz Series from Charleston Jazz is back for its 2025 season, offering a one-of-a-kind musical experience where art and music collide in perfect harmony. Presented in partnership with the Gibbes Museum of Art, this annual three-concert series features original jazz compositions inspired by works from the museum’s collection, creating a dynamic dialogue between visual and musical art forms.
This beloved event has become a crowd favorite, drawing sold-out audiences eager to witness the blend of live jazz and fine art. Each concert features a different artist interpreting selected artworks through the lens of original jazz music. The 2025 series kicks off on Wednesday, June 25 at 6 p.m. with two more performances scheduled for July 23 and August 20.

Wednesday, June 25 at 6 p.m. - Jonathan Lovett Trio
Multi-talented pianist, bassist, and composer Jonathan Lovett headlines the opening night. A San Diego native and University of South Carolina alum, Lovett is an integral part of Charleston’s music scene and recently completed a successful European tour with blues legend Eric Gales.

Wednesday, July 23 at 6 p.m. - Iliana Rose Ensemble
Cuban-American pianist and vocalist Iliana Rose brings her vibrant energy and cultural roots to the stage. Born in Miami and trained in both classical and jazz traditions, Rose now resides in Greenville, SC, where she continues to inspire musicians nationwide as a performer, educator, and clinician.

Wednesday, August 20 at 6 p.m. - Bob Lanzetti Trio
Guitarist and composer Bob Lanzetti, known for his work with the GRAMMY Award-winning group Snarky Puppy, closes out the series. A seasoned performer and educator, Lanzetti brings his global experience and genre-spanning compositions to this final concert.
