The 34th annual Sea & Sand Festival, the longest-running annual festival on Folly Beach, returns with a weekend full of family-friendly events. The two-day festival includes “Salty Saturday,” the Center Street closure event on Feb. 21, and the Sand Sculpture Competition on Sunday, Feb. 22.
On the 22nd, “Salty Saturday” takes place from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. all along Center Street. The street will be lined with Folly restaurants serving their signature dishes along with 80+ art, craft, and fashion vendors selling unique merchandise.
Guests can also enjoy live local music across three stages, a live Surfboard Painting Competition, and a huge kids' area. Tickets are $10 when purchased in advance or $15 at the gate on the day of the event. Folly residents and kids 12 and under are free.
On Sunday, the annual Sand Sculpting Competition will take place on the beachfront at The Tides starting at 10 a.m. It’s some friendly competition for the teams, and the public is encouraged to watch as these amazing works of art come together.
