Fresh off its creative hiatus, 5th Wall Productions has launched a new partnership with Impact Creative Arts Academy in Summerville — and the collaboration begins with a classic. This December, the two organizations will co-produce James Goldman’s The Lion in Winter at The Old Trolley Theatre.
The production will be directed by 5th Wall co-founder and Managing Artistic Director Jason Olson. Impact’s own co-founder Rob Hazelip will star as King Henry II, leading a strong ensemble of local performers in the sharp, darkly funny historical drama.
Tickets for The Lion in Winter are available now through both 5th Wall Productions and Impact Creative Arts Academy’s websites.
The show runs December 5–14 at The Old Trolley Theatre and marks the opening move in what both organizations describe as a long-term collaboration. The partnership will support 5th Wall’s comeback season, the development of new works, and the introduction of adult acting and writing classes within Impact’s already-thriving youth-focused curriculum.
Members of the press are invited to attend the final dress rehearsal at 7:30 p.m. on December 4.
RSVPs may be sent to jason@5thwallproductions.org.
