The 25th Annual Latin American Festival will be held on Sunday, October 2nd at North Charleston's Wannamaker County Park. The event will celebrate the “sights and sounds of the Latin world” with live Salsa and Merengue music, authentic food, crafts, and more.
This year’s schedule includes:
- 12 pm – Banda Tecno Caliente
- 1 pm – Buen Ache Dance Company
- 1:30 pm – Capoeira Charleston
- 2 pm – Bachata Flow
- 3:30 pm – Salsa Dance Contest with DJ Luigi of Latin Groove Charleston
- 4:30 pm – Orquesta K'Che
At the beginning of the festival and between sets, DJ Luigi of Latin Groove Charleston will play a mix of salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata, and reggaeton hits.
When you’re not busy dancing, you can enjoy some authentic cuisine from Mexico, Central America, South America, and the Caribbean, along with traditional festival foods and beverages.
Kids will have access to jump castles, crafts, and the Charleston County Public Library's educational area at Cypress Hall.
