Britt's Donut Shop, a Wilmington-area business, announced on Instagram that it will open its first South Carolina location at 32 N. Market St.
The shop will occupy the former Charleston's Candy Kitchen space, next door to downtown restaurants Tempest and Church and Union.
No opening date has been announced.
Britt's Donut Shop first opened in 1939 in Carolina Beach, North Carolina. The Charleston location will be the brand's first expansion.
