AL&EM today announced the opening of their new storefront at 37 Cleveland St, Suite 101. On the corner of Rutledge and Cleveland Streets, across from Hampton Park, the building is occupied by new tenants such as Sightsee, Nette, Wake Refill, and more.
Local artist and furniture maker Jonathan Rypkema helped bring AL&EM's vision of a dream jeweler studio to life by crafting a custom jewelry bench tailored to their exact specifications. The bench is a unique blend of a traditional jeweler's bench and a setting bench, designed to support every step of their bespoke processes. From diamond setting to finishing and polishing, this versatile bench allows for seamless transitions between creative design, technical craftsmanship, and the final touches—all in one space.
At just 250 square feet, this appointment-only design studio will serve as a custom engagement ring and wedding band shopping experience. Outside of wedding jewelry, AL&EM also creates custom jewelry, including stone sourcing, heirloom jewelry reworking, and more. In addition, AL&EM will continue to offer private permanent jewelry appointments. All AL&EM jewelry is created in house by goldsmith Alex Klaes.
The community is offered to celebrate the opening of the new studio on November 2, from 12 pm to 5 pm. There will be wine from Graft, jewelry to shop, an AL&EM raffle, and the chance to chat with the owners.
