Fam’s Brewing Co. on James Island has announced that they will be hosting a monthly Harry Potter-themed trivia tournament. Participants will have the chance to win $1,000 in cash and prizes.
Muggles, witches, and/or wizards will compete in a version of the O.W.L. (Ordinary Wizarding Level) exams focusing on a specific book/movie. Here’s a look at the schedule (each event starts at 8 pm):
- Saturday, May 13th: Book 1 – Sorcerer’s Stone
- Saturday, June 24th: Book 2 – Chamber of Secrets
- Saturday, July 22nd: Book 3 – Prisoner of Azkaban
- Saturday, August 26th: Book 4 – Goblet of Fire
- Saturday, September 23rd: Book 5 – Order of the Phoenix
- Saturday, October 28th: Book 6 – Half-Blood Prince
- Saturday, November 11th: Book 7 – Deathly Hallows
The top three teams will split $175 in Fam’s Brewing Co. house cash each month. Also, each month, every team will accumulate points (teams don’t need to attend every month, but the more they play, the more points they will receive).
At the end of the tournament, the team with the most points will win $1,000 in cash and prizes, including tickets to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in Orlando.
The event is free and open to the public, but you have to be 21+ to play.
