  • Horse picking contest with your shot at $200 in house cash

• The Cedar Room at The Cigar Factory
  • Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding (CATR) will host their second annual Derby Party. The event benefits their Student Scholarship Program
  • Open from 4:30 pm to 8 pm
  • Premium viewing of the big race
  • Classic Southern fare
  • Betting raffles
  • A silent auction featuring rare Kentucky bourbons and exotic trips
  •  A live auction
• Islander 71
  • Live music from Me & Mr. Jones (4:30 pm to 8 pm)
    • Alyce from Me & Mr. Jones will be playing throughout the event and announcing winners of the prizes
  • Woodford sponsored promos and tastings
  • Satellite Mint Julep Bar
  • Prizes for Best Derby Hat and Winner of Chosen Horse
  • Pre-lim Race at 5:27 pm
  • Official Derby Race at 6:57 pm
• The Rooftop at The Vendue
  • From May 4th through the 6th, the rooftop destination will host “Cinco-3PO de Derby Days: A Rooftop Trilogy”
  • Thursday and Friday are dedicated to Star Wars related events and Cinco de Mayo
  • On Saturday, May 6th, it’s time to don your finest hats and watch the Kentucky Derby live on the big screen
    • Compete in the Derby Hat Contest for a $100 bar tab
    • Mint Juleps available throughout the day

  • Derby party to feature:
    • Live music with Brotherman (4 pm to 7 pm)
    • Chance to win $200 in the annual hat contest and another $100 for picking the winning horse.
