BCLS Hosting Chess Club for All Ages at Goose Creek Library

Berkeley County Library System (BCLS) invites all aged participants to Chess Club every Monday from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Goose Creek Library, located at 325 Old Moncks Corner Road, Goose Creek.  Participants are welcome to bring their private chess set to use during the sessions if desired. 

“Chess players of all ages and levels are invited to play at the Goose Creek Library every Monday,” said Nanette Hamilton, Senior Branch Librarian “Give your brain some exercise and meet other chess players.”

The game of chess has a long history of benefits for the human brain, social interaction with others, and global recognition. Chess.com lists these in Top Ten Benefits of Chess.
