“48 Hours” Special Episode of “The Trial of Alex Murdaugh” to Air This Saturday

A jury in South Carolina on Thursday found the disgraced former attorney Alex Murdaugh guilty of murdering his wife, Maggie, and son Paul, concluding a dramatic and tragic story that captivated the nation. 48 Hours and CBS News national correspondent Nikki Battiste will explore the once prominent lawyer’s stunning fall from grace in a special episode titled “The Trial of Alex Murdaugh,” to be broadcast on Saturday, March 4th at 10 pm ET on the CBS Television Network and streaming on Paramount+.

Lead prosecutor Creighton Waters will sit down with Battiste and CBS News for his first one-on-one interview after the sentencing of Murdaugh. Battiste first traveled to South Carolina to cover Maggie and Paul’s murder in the summer of 2021 and has been reporting on the case ever since.
