BREAKING: Alex Murdaugh Found GUILTY of Murdering His Wife and Son

The jury in the Murdaugh murder trial has found disbarred South Carolina attorney Alex Murdaugh guilty of murdering his wife and son. The jury reached their verdict after about three hours of deliberation. The decision comes after six weeks of testimony.

Murdaugh, 54, was found guilty of two counts of murder and two counts of possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Sentencing will take place on Friday at 9:30 am. The minimum sentence for each count of murder is 30 years (can be run concurrently) and the maximum is life without parole.

Murdaugh’s wife Maggie, 52, and son Paul, 22, were found fatally shot near dog kennels at the family’s home in Islandton, SC on June 7, 2021.
