North Charleston St. Paddy’s Day Block Party and Parade Returns to Park Circle on March 11th

The Lowcountry’s biggest St. Patrick’s Day celebration returns to the Olde Village of North Charleston on Saturday, March 11th, from noon until 5 pm. The Block Party location is East Montague Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue, including portions of O’Hear, Chateau, and Colie Morse Avenues. 

The celebration will feature live music across multiple stages, street vending featuring fare from Park Circle restaurants and other specialty food vendors, charity partner booths, a mechanical bull, and a Kid’s Zone with fire truck, inflatable slides, games, and face painting. Patrons are encouraged to rideshare and carpool as parking is limited.

The block party kicks off with a parade starting on Park Place East (adjacent to East Montague Avenue) at noon. The parade route will proceed down East Montague Avenue through the block party location to Virginia Avenue. The parade will feature North Charleston’s Mayor Keith Summey, Councilman Bob King, The Charleston Pipe Band, O’Keefe’s Academy of Irish Dance, Uibh Fhali Academy of Irish Dance, Cool Ray from the SC Stingrays, and many more.

East Montague Avenue between Virginia Avenue and Jenkins Avenue and portions of O’Hear Avenue, Chateau Avenue. and Colie Morse Lane will close at 9 am for set up and remain closed until 7 pm at the latest. East Montague Avenue between Park Place East and Jenkins Avenue will close at 11:30 am and stay closed for the duration of the parade. The party, parade, and parking are free to the public. Cars left in the block party area overnight on Friday, March 10th will be towed.
