The Beach Club at Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina today announced its first-ever synthetic ice skating rink and Winter Wonderland experience. A spokesperson for the venue said they will have a “100% recyclable and non-toxic rink” that also has no energy costs associated with it, making it a “green” alternative to traditional ice rinks.
“Ice Skating on the Point” is now open to guests of all ages throughout the holiday season. The rink will be open to hotel guests at The Beach Club and Harborside, as well as local residents.
The resort’s Winter Wonderland will also offer hot chocolate and gourmet s’mores kits designed to be cooked over the surrounding area fire pits. From time to time, a donut-making station (as available) will also be available to guests. Plus, a full food and beverage menu including vegetarian options can be enjoyed.
“We are thrilled to be able to introduce our Winter Wonderland experience to the Charleston Harbor and offer the opportunity to create memories for kids of all ages,” said Oliver Rooskens, Managing Director. “There is nothing like celebrating the magic of the season and we look forward to providing this experience for many years to come.”
The Winter Wonderland will be open Thursdays to Sundays, from 3 pm to 8 pm, November 24th through February 5th, 2023. The rink will cost $10 (resort guests) or $12 (locals) for 50 minutes of skating, including ice skate rental.
Skaters who bring two or more cans of food before December 25th will be able to take $2 off their admission fee, and all items will be donated to the Lowcountry Food Bank on Christmas Day.
The rink is available to reserve midweek for group events, birthday parties, school field trips, and corporate teambuilding. Changes to the operating schedule can be found on the resort’s website and social channels. Charleston Harbor Resort & Marina is located at 20 Patriots Point Rd. in Mt Pleasant.
