Charleston Animal Society Offering $5,000 Reward in Case of Burned Dog
Two days before Thanksgiving, a person found the dog left alone in a cat carrier in the Palmilla Apartment Complex in West Ashley. The dog was taken to an emergency vet clinic for treatment. Charleston Animal Society veterinarians have continued lifesaving care.
Charleston City Police are investigating the dog’s abandonment and Charleston Animal Society is offering a $5,000 reward for the arrest and felony conviction of those responsible.
“We believe that someone in the apartment complex knows what happened to this dog and we are hoping someone will step forward with information about her,” said Charleston Animal Society Vice President of Operations and Strategy Aldwin Roman, CAWA. “No animal should be abandoned when they need medical attention.”
