We at Holy City Sinner thank you for your patronage and hope 2022 is an awesome year for our followers. We continue to provide you current news and helpful items that keep you up on the Holy City and provide information that might be useful to our followers. The following event was postponed until October 23rd. On Saturday Firefly host another Food Truck Festival. They had so much fun with y’all in February that they’re hosting another on Saturday from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m. Free to attend, we’ll have about 20 of your favorite local food trucks from vegan to seafood, barbecue and eclectic fare taking over our four-acre field. Enjoy craft and seasonal cocktails and music from Weigh Station on the Front Porch from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Come join them and spread out on our picnic tables on the Front Porch or bring your own chairs, pop-up tables, blankets or lawn games to enjoy the event on The Field. Remember to leave dogs, coolers, and outside food + drink at home.
The Getting Saucy BBQ Sauce Competition is THIS Saturday. The Arc of the Lowcountry is presenting the first annual Getting Saucy BBQ Sauce Competition at Firefly Distillery. Proceeds from this event are supporting The Arc of the Lowcountry, a leader in disability rights and the largest national community-based organization advocating for and with people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and serving them and their families. Tickets are $40 and $45 DOS. This fun event will also feature Charleston’s very own Michal Higdon, Evening Anchor from Live 5 News as our MC, live entertainment by Lauren Hall, Ben Fagan & The Holy City Hooligans, Lafaye, Chris Boone, music by DJ Natty Heavy, as well as a corn hole competition and activities for all event-goers. The Haunted Tavern: A Dark Pop-Up Cocktail Experience is coming to the Holy City from September 16th through the 24th, 2022. The event will be held at The Ashley (1940 Sam Rittenberg Blvd. in West Ashley). Tickets for this 21+ event include entry to the experience, four themed cocktails, and live entertainment. The Charleston Farmers Market, located in Marion Square, will begin the 2022 market season Saturday March 5th. The market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through November 26. Inclement weather effects the event and vendor participation from time to time.
The Charleston City Night Market (Market Streets) is open this weekend. The marketplace is an exciting showcase of more than 100 talented artists and craftspeople that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening from March – December. The Night Market runs from 6:30 – 10:30 pm and is a free event that is open to the public.

If you just want to get out of the house, there are of course city parks open as well as most area golf courses. Sunny days are welcome for walking the beach, bicycling, jogging, maybe tossing the frisbee, or getting in a round of golf. Check with golf courses for certain restrictions. Middleton Place, the ancestral home of two Founding Fathers and site of America’s oldest landscaped gardens, has reopened to the public. Ticket pricing has been revised, as well.
