We at Holy City Sinner thank you for your patronage and hope 2022 is an awesome year for our followers. We continue to provide you current news and helpful items that keep you up on the Holy City and provide information that might be useful to our followers.
Thankfully the entertainment community is beginning to make a comeback. Movie theaters are opening. More clubs and night spots are offering live music. Playhouses are up and running. It’s time to start getting back out there and enjoy the weekend and all the nightlife the Holy City has to offer.
Your Charleston Riverdogs play host to the Lynchburg Wildcats this weekend. Game time is 7pm Friday with fireworks following the contest. Every Saturday contest there will be additional entertainment following the game including stadium light shows. The first 2,000 fans into the game will receive an ear-shaped stress reliever. We would advise you not to eat them. Before the game, we’ll host youth pillow fights in our full-sized boxing ring in the beer garden in preparation for the main event post-game. First pitch is 6pm. Sundays are always MUSC Health Family Day at the Joe. Parking is free! Before, during and after each Sunday home game we will make it all about the kids. It’s also Jewish Heritage Night. The RiverDogs partner with the Charleston Jewish Federation for the 8th annual Jewish Heritage Night, celebrating Charleston’s diverse Jewish community. Glatt kosher food options will be available in a special kosher food stand, and members of the community will be highlighted throughout the night. Plus, it’s Charlie’s Birthday. Kick off the weekend at Homegrown Party at the Point. This family-friendly event is hosted on the beachfront of and features live music and plenty of food and drink options. The series will run on Fridays from August 5th through September 9th. Each event is scheduled for 5 pm to 9 pm and admission is $10 per person (kids 12 & under are free). The town of Mount Pleasant and Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park 99 Harry M. Hallman Jr Blvd host Waterfront Music & Movies Friday nights in August. Mount Pleasant residents and visitors bring blankets and chairs, sit back to enjoy an incredible sunset while listening to local musicians, and then watch an outdoor movie with the beautiful Ravenel Bridge and Charleston Harbor for a backdrop. The Charleston Farmers Market, located in Marion Square, will begin the 2022 market season Saturday March 5th. The market is open on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. through November 26. Inclement weather effects the event and vendor participation from time to time.
The Charleston City Night Market (Market Streets) is open this weekend. The marketplace is an exciting showcase of more than 100 talented artists and craftspeople that occurs every Friday and Saturday evening from March – December. The Night Market runs from 6:30 – 10:30 pm and is a free event that is open to the public.

If you just want to get out of the house, there are of course city parks open as well as most area golf courses. Sunny days are welcome for walking the beach, bicycling, jogging, maybe tossing the frisbee, or getting in a round of golf. Check with golf courses for certain restrictions. Plus, Park Circle in North Charleston offers a nice disc golf course.
Middleton Place, the ancestral home of two Founding Fathers and site of America’s oldest landscaped gardens, has reopened to the public. Ticket pricing has been revised, as well.
