The Starbucks coffee shop on Lower King Street will be closing its doors next month. The location at 239 King Street has been open since the late 1990s.
Local journalist Quintin Washington was the first to share the news on social media when he shared a photo (above right) of a real estate sign in the storefront’s window. After seeing Washington’s Tweet, local professor Paul Roof stopped by the Starbucks for more information. According to Roof, the shop will close after business on August 14th.
