CHARLOTTE, N.C. – SeamonWhiteside (SW+), a full-service site design firm throughout the Carolinas, has moved to a new office in Lower South End located at 230 E Peterson Dr Suite B in Charlotte, NC. The space is now situated closer to clients, allows for increased team-wide collaboration, and is conveniently near ongoing projects in a new and upcoming part of the city.
The office space also allows the firm to accelerate growth within its workforce, which was a compelling reason for the move as they continue to take on more projects and plan for potential future growth. Currently, the Charlotte team has 16 full-time employees and two interns and hopes to expand to 40+ in the coming years.
“The Charlotte office is extremely excited to be here. With the new space and growth potential, the team has a fresh sense of energy. When deciding on a new office, it was important for us to keep in mind the ‘SeamonWhiteside Way' of collaboration and work-life balance,” says Frances Timmons Yarbrough, PE, Director of the Charlotte office. “We are always looking for a way to grow our employees professionally and personally. This new space, located in the heart of Charlotte, is close to so many of our exciting projects and provides wonderful volunteering opportunities for our team to get further involved in the community.”
The new space is close to 7,000 square feet with an open floor plan allowing for close team collaboration and a large conference room for client meetings. It is also surrounded by some of SeamonWhiteside's close colleagues, including Cline Design and Park Commercial Real Estate.
The Charlotte office celebrated their new space with a Peterson Block Party in May and a Lowcountry Boil when the team officially moved in on June 24th.
