That BIG Book Sale Returns for its 40th Year
In addition to the dates listed above, a first-hand preview sale for members of CFOL will be held on Thursday, May 19th from 5 pm to 8 pm. Checks, cash, and major credit cards are accepted. A special appearance from CCPL’s mascot Owlbert is also expected.
“We are excited to get the opportunity to celebrate our 40th Birthday this year and what better way to celebrate than at the 40th annual That BIG Book sale,” said Nulani Bennett, Charleston FOL Operations Manager. “Our volunteers have worked hard sorting, pricing, and packing thousands of gently used books to ensure we appeal to every reader.”
The Charleston Friends of the Library is a non-profit volunteer organization that raises money through book sales and other events to help fund library services, training, materials, and public programming. The CFOL collects and sorts gently used books donated by the community for resale to raise funds for CCPL.
