Press Release
With the new year comes new ideas, new goals and new tenants. Freshfields Village is thrilled to add six new businesses to its robust retail mix, Spartina 449, Salt Marsh Animal Hospital, Café Eugenia, The Beaufort Bonnet Company, Luminary and Johnny Was. In addition, the Lululemon store is relocating within the center, nearly doubling its square footage from 1,200 to 2,331.
“Resort retail is having a moment,” said Ward Kampf, president of Northwood Retail. “Unique, upscale brands are finding that resort retail enclaves, like Freshfields Village, have turned into year-round shopping experiences. With evolving remote work models, these properties are no longer simply seasonal destinations. Centers like this are attractive for expanding retailers, with a very targeted demographic, inviting outdoor environments and strong year-round sales. We are confident that these new additions to Freshfields Village will be well-received by Kiawah Island locals and visitors alike.”
