The city of Charleston will host a Virtual Information Session for the 2022 AmeriCorps VISTA Site Selection Process to provide an overview of the program, and review related regulations and site requirements for organizations interested in hosting a VISTA service member. The Information Session will be held on Monday, January 10 at 3 p.m. via Zoom.
Why it matters: AmeriCorps VISTA is
The program supports local efforts by engaging VISTA members in one year of full-time service with a local organization where they help to build capacity and sustainability in order to serve the organization's clients and community members more effectively.
How to attend: To register to attend the upcoming Virtual Information Session, please email Mindy Sturm at sturmm@charleston-sc.gov. Once registered, participants will receive a Zoom link to attend the meeting.
Representatives of organizations planning to apply are strongly encouraged to attend.
Application information: The application documents required to serve as a 2022 VISTA host site are linked below and must be submitted by Friday, January 21, 2022 at 3 p.m.
