Charleston nonprofit AMOR Healing Kitchen, which provides healthy meals cooked by teen chefs for locals facing serious health challenges, today announced its new program, Nature's Nutrients, an 8-week plant based cooking program.
AMOR's 2022 Plant Powered Education Initiative is to increase education about the benefits of whole food plant-based cooking while inspiring people to get in the kitchen and learn how to cook using simple techniques and seasonal and affordable ingredients.
“We love to inspire people with food and empower them to take charge of what they nourish their bodies with,” sasid AMOR Healing Kitchen Founder and Executive Director Maria Kelly. “Our program is designed to meet people where they are in their journey towards a healthier lifestyle, and inspire them to explore using more whole foods in their kitchen and develop their home cooking skills. We want people to fall in love with real food again.”
Nature's Nutrients will take place every Monday from 6 pm to 7:30 pm from January 10th to February 27th. It will be led by WiBi Ashley and Chef Kayla Rutherford of the AMOR Healing Kitchen team.
This is an interactive experience where the participants will be cooking via Zoom alongside fellow participants, and will have the opportunity to interact with the Chef and ask questions.
Through BOGO (Buy One, Give One), this program will be accessible for their clients who are receiving AMOR's home delivery program and would like to continue creating healthier eating habits but may not have the ability to purchase the program.
