Last November, MiKi (Middle King Shopping District) was launched by a group of locally owned retailers who teamed up to offer shoppers “the most curated and convenient shopping experience in downtown Charleston.” To celebrate their one year anniversary, MiKi has teamed up with Charleston’s own Lid Lady, Tyler Page Wright, of Walk & Talk Charleston to offer “An Evening of Storytelling and Shopping” along the Middle King Shopping District.
The curated tour will take place on Wednesday, November 10th from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm, starting at Jackson Davenport (379 King Street). The Lid Lady will share the history of this beloved shopping district and tell the stories of the buildings inhabited by the MiKi partnering stores. The tour has limited availability and tickets can be purchased here. Light bites and refreshments will be provided plus MiKi shops will be offering special discounts.
Partnering retailers are located on the strip of historic King Street between Calhoun and Market that’s home to some of Charleston’s oldest and most beloved stores. Participating MiKi retailers include Croghan’s Jewel Box, Finicky Filly, Hampden, Jackson Davenport, Jordan Lash, M. Dumas & Sons, Shoes on King, The Boutique (new 2021 member).
The family of Middle King Street retailers formed to make the local Charleston shopping experience better, more convenient, and safer than ever. Customer relationships are at the core of the retailer’s services and extends beyond the in-store experience. Additionally, MiKi perks include contactless product delivery throughout the Lowcountry, regular email updates featuring roundups of what’s new and notable throughout MiKi, exclusive events, and more.
